Genevieve + Gilio - Rotterdam Engagement

We first spoke on the phone, after she sent a sweet message to explain her wedding plans. Genevieve and Gilio both have Caribbean roots, and they were considering having their wedding in Curacao. When that turned out to be impossible due to important family members they really wanted present, she inquired if I’d be interested in traveling to her home country for a wedding in The Netherlands. From the moment we connected, I knew we would make a dream team. So it was an honour to be her wedding photographer!

I finally got to meet Genevieve & Gilio (and their beautiful daughter) in person when they drove to Rotterdam for their engagement session. Where gleaming high-rise towers were built amidst several old warehouses that still recall an era when travellers departed from Kop van Zuid, heading off to America on steamboats. The vibrant neighbourhood turned out to be an amazing backdrop for our session, and I was thrilled to be able to spend some time with them before the wedding day.
