They met while attending Seton Hall University in New Jersey. It wasn’t until running into each other outside of a bar in Hoboken about a year after graduating that they started hanging out and getting to know each other’s families and friends.

It was at this time that Matt got the highly coveted seal of approval from Morella’s soul sister Carola. It was the perfect setting for their beginning- a combination of New York City’s grandeur, Hoboken’s college town setting and Jersey City’s diversity (and of course beer garden). While living in New Jersey, Matt and Morella took their first trip together to Curaçao and survived their first “road trip” to see the Phillies play in Pittsburgh with the people that had been the catalysts for them to meet -Zach and Dee. With Matt’s road rage and Morella’s grandma-like driving skills, the survival of a road trip was a very promising accomplishment.

Years later, they invited their friends & family to the Caribbean to celebrate love. On a gorgeously sunny day in Curacao, Morella & Matt married at the Bonam Church.
