Curacao was the place where they settled on for their destination wedding. Only the two of them, just like five years ago when they visited the island for a well-deserved vacation. Thirteen years before, they met at an event, where they volunteered to help build houses out of wooden pallets for kids. Sadly, they came to the conclusion that neither one of them were very useful for they didn’t have any construction skills, but still they got something good out of this event…
It didn’t take long for them to fall in love, and the years of being together has honed them in such a way that it was inevitable for this day to come; the celebration of two amazing people to get to say “I Do”.
We spent the afternoon enjoying beautiful locations, gorgeous natural light and colour, great smiles and salty tears, and even shared an unforgettable delicious cake! Many thanks to Marielle, Merel and Alex for making this day as perfect as it was.
Madelon & Koen, thank you for inviting us to spend this wonderful day with you and allow us to document your wedding celebration, a unique one we might add! What we have gained in these last few days are kindness, joy and much laughter.
Much love, Claudia, Romy & Miguel :-)
When we met, we discussed their wishes for the photo session, which was to spend as much time and take as many pictures as possible. How lucky for us as we got to drive them around the Island to several fun locations, like this well known Coco Bar along the side of the road!
It’s that time of the year for the Kibra Hacha tree to blossom and colour the scenery with this dreamy yellowish hue.. Madelon & Koen were just as excited as we were to be able to take some photos here :-)
Up next, we headed to an abandoned Plantation House to take more photos…
Koen was looking pretty sharp and he was hardly trying!
We rushed to the ceremony location, a small beach near Landhuis San Juan, for an intimate ceremony.
With some delicious cake provided by the magnificent Marielle…
Since the ceremony was done pretty early, we decided to drive up to another location for even more photos…and it was the best thing we could have done all day…that light!!
Many thanks to the amazing vendors on this wedding:
