She was travelling from Mozambique (where she was volunteering as a Peace Corps Volunteer with the United States Government) to England to celebrate Christmas with her parents. They wanted to visit their daughter in Mozambique, but after seeing how many vaccines they would need, they quickly changed their minds. So they flew her to England, which turned out to be the best trip she ever made. As she described it herself, she was ‘packed like a donkey’ with all of her suitcases and bags. She had a moment of uncertainty since there were two trains on the same platform. She didn’t know which one to board, so she turned around to ask for advice, when she saw her tall handsome stranger walking in her direction. He surprised her by asking her for directions! After deciding which train they would take they enjoyed conversations during their journey to Cambridge. They parted ways but by the time she got to her family’s house, he had already sent her a message, which she quickly replied to. Their friendship blossomed and Arthur even visited her in Mozambique.
Many trips and years later, Jennea & Arthur brought some of their closest friends & family to the Caribbean for their destination wedding. The day started and ended at the lovely BijBlauw Boutique Hotel in Pietermaai, with a short trip to the Fort Church in the heart of Willemstad for a beautiful ceremony, after which they danced their way back to the hotel to enjoy a wonderful evening.
Jennea & Arthur, I can not thank you enough for your trust, love and the honour of documenting your perfect day, I enjoyed every second of it, including the months leading up to this day! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you two. No doubt it includes a lot of travelling. Luckily I also travel so if you ever need a personal travel photographer, don’t hesitate to call me ;-)
Much love, Claudia & Miguel
The groom was getting some very useful assistance while getting ready… Stunningly beautiful… For just a second he thought about getting away ;-) Jennea had the sweetest bridesmaids! The ceremony at the Fort Church was beautiful. Yay!!! Husband and wife!
